Alignment Services
With our specialist four wheel laser alignment equipment machine, we can offer full wheel alignment for your vehicle. During this service, we will check the following:
-
Caster Alignment
-
Camber Alignment
Caster Alignment
Caster alignment is the angle of the steering pivot, and is important for numerous reasons.
-
Caster doesn't significantly impact tyre wear but can affect steering stability.
-
If the caster isn’t adjusted correctly, there can be issues in straight line tracking.
-
If the caster is off, the steering will be light, which can cause vehicles to wander.
-
Steering can also be heavy, and there may be issues with the steering wheel when going over a bump.
Camber Alignment
Camber alignment is the vertical tilt of a vehicle’s wheel. There are multiple issues that can occur if the tracking is off.
-
When misaligned, tyres can wear excessively and can cause the vehicle to ‘pull’ to one side.
-
Camber issues may not be adjustable on all vehicles, which means there may be an issue with wear and tear that requires a closer inspection.
Having the camber properly aligned helps improve directional stability and improves road isolation.
